{ COVERALLS AND APPROPRIATE FOOTWEAR  ARE REQUIRED FOR ALL SHOP WORK }

 AUTOMOTIVES 22A - is a 5 credit classroom theory course covering the concepts in the course outline.  Students are expected to keep notes and handouts in a binder and keep them available for reference.  Assignments are due on the assigned dates.  Late assignments will be deducted 10% for 1 day late, and 100% for more than one day late.  All assignments MUST be completed before students will be allowed to participate in shop work.
       Students will be assigned a small project at the beginning of the shop portion of the course which will count as 3 assignments.
 Tests must be written on the assigned date.  If a student is absent on a test date for a VALID reason, they will be permitted to write the test on the next class day, providing they have notified the school prior to 8:30 a.m. on the morning of the test.  Failing to do so will result in a mark of 0%.  Upon successful completion of this section, 5 CTS credits will be awarded in MEC 2020, 2030, 2040, 2060, 2070.  This course runs for the entire semester.

 AUTOMOTIVES 22B - is a 5 credit shop course.  Students will perform repair work on customer vehicles in the school shop.  This will normally consist of approximately 40 class days of two 80-minute periods per day in the first half of the semester.
 Students will be graded on the quality and accuracy of their work, as well as shop management, attitude and effort.  All students are required to keep a daily log of their activities that will be submitted weekly.
      Because work is being performed on customer vehicles, it is imperative that students maintain good attendence.  If a student is unable to attend school for any reason, they are required to telephone the school office before 8:30 a.m. on the day of their absence.  Upon the successful completion of this section, 5 CTS credits will be awarded in MEC 2090, 2100, 2110, 2130, 2140.

 AUTOMOTIVES 22C - is a 5 credit shop course and has the same requirements as 22B but will run  the second half of the semester.  Upon successful completion of this section of the course, 5 CTS credits will be awarded in MEC 2150, 2160, 3090, 3140, 3150.
 Any student who is absent from school, for any reason, must inform the school office of the absence before 8:30 a.m. on the day of the absence.
